The kind of arguments (not debates) I have been hearing from 20-year, 25-year old youth scares me. The hatred they have for a particular community… I am struggling to find out when did this poison enter their minds?

I was under the impression that unlike our parents, grand-parents, who have seen communal tensions and violence, our generation and the next have been educated and brought up in safer and compassionate environments. Really, when did this hatred enter their minds? And what did this community particularly do lately to them to have influenced these minds negatively.

I am not painting the entire generation black. I am talking about the hatred some of them have. Can one man or two men remotely instill so much of hatred? I really don’t know if the CAA is good or bad. There are politicians crying hoarse that it does not impact any Indian citizen. Let’s assume they are right. But the arguments these youth have in private is scary. They say it casually that they just want them out. And these are the very youth, who ask me in an hour: What experience they should have to get a job in a foreign country. Really? Why should foreign countries allow them?
