So I read this article on HT: “Five reasons why I didn’t participate in the Yoga Day celebrations“. This cacophony reminds me of a line I read in some book long time back. The book may not that be great, but the line certainly is. Pardon the profanity here. “It’s like saying, ‘I will not drink water because the fishes are f****** in it'”.

India must be the only country that shirks and cringes at its culture and legacy under the guise of secularism and just because a certain party endorses it. Don’t understand, why there has to be so much of antagonism against the International Yoga Day? No one is forcing anyone to do yoga. I am one of them. But, it’s a good effort to communicate the good about it. And I might too start yoga one day, if not today.

I am sure, that these very people who are against the Yoga Day, under the guise of forced nationalism, will be the first ones to come out in favour of Valentine’s Day. And I personally have nothing against Valentine’s Day. So, go ahead and stretch yourself (on Int Yoga Day and the year around) and love (on Valentine’s Day).
